Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to market expansion. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal part in shaping the future direction of our company by expanding our client base and enhancing our market presence.
Duties
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across Scotland.
- Grow sales within existing customer accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and become their trusted partner.
- Present new products, seasonal ranges and promotional opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements while protecting margins.
- Work closely with our production and customer service teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Represent Porrelli at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
Skills
- Proven experience in field sales or business development.
- Experience within FMCG, foodservice, hospitality or wholesale (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
