Therefore we are looking for experienced Class 1 drivers with leadership qualities who want more than just a driving job. Your role at Emons
As a Lead Driver, you are a professional on the road and a trusted point of contact within the team. You help ensure safe operations, high standards, and a positive working culture. Your responsibilities include:
- Driving modern 2WIN double‑deck box trailers with tail lifts to UK RDC locations
- Supporting the Transport Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of the UK fleet
- Acting as a role model for safety, vehicle care and professional behaviour
- Optional European trips for drivers who are interested
- You will receive full training on all specialist equipment.
Working pattern
We value work‑life balance and predictable planning:
- 4 on / 4 off tramping rota
- 4 days on the road, followed by 4 full days at home
- Supported by a professional and well‑organised planning team
- Other working patterns can be discussed where possible

- £16.00 base rate
- £1.00 Lead / Skill premium

- Paid as two fixed instalments of £900 (July & December)

What you bring
We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work, and:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience
- Proven experience or the natural ability to act as a lead Driver, setting the standard for others.
- Interest in working with high‑quality, specialised equipment
- Technical mindset: you enjoy learning how to operate specialized, high-value equipment safely and efficiently.
- High standards for safety, cleanliness and reporting; you take pride in a spotless truck
- A cooperative, responsible and reliable attitude
