Job Description:
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team at BattleKart Gateshead over the Summer holidays. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional experience for our guests. Bar/Kitchen Responsibilities:
- Working on the bar and in the kitchen, preparing and serving a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic options such as hot drinks on a barista style machine, along with light food items.
- Creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar, prioritising customer service by interacting positively with guests and anticipating their needs.
- Assisting with guest check-in, ensuring they are informed, comfortable, and ready for their BattleKart experience.
- Upholding cleanliness and organisation in the bar and kitchen areas, following health and safety standards.
- Monitoring stock levels and maintaining a well-organised bar, ensuring full compliance with food and beverage safety regulations.
Track Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the operation of karting sessions, enforcing safety protocols to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Overseeing track gameplay to ensure sessions start on time and run smoothly, addressing any issues with a calm, customer-focused approach.
- Engaging with guests to enhance their experience, answering questions, guiding them on gameplay rules, and encouraging repeat visits.
- Supporting the team in setting up and dismantling equipment for events and races, contributing to an efficient and safe operational flow.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the karting area and all other facilities, ensuring the space is always tidy and inviting.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities with composure.
- A positive attitude towards safety and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Previous experience in bar service, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role is desirable but not required.
