Joiner (Multi-Trade Operative) – Full Time – Widnes
We’re working with a leading housing provider seeking an experienced Joiner (Multi-Trade Operative) to join their in-house Reactive Maintenance team. This role offers an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity, supporting responsive repairs across neighbourhoods in the Widnes area.
What’s on offer?
- Contract type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks temp, then permanent subject to performance)
- Hours: Full time, 36.25 hours per week
- Work pattern: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Hourly rate (temp): £19.00 - £21.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of joinery and multi-trade maintenance repairs
- Complete tasks including internal/external door fitting, splice repairs, and general locksmith work
- Undertake bathroom sub-floor, bath panel, and kitchen framework repairs/refits
- Deliver high-quality, right-first-time repairs, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
- Work safely and efficiently in occupied homes and communal areas
- Maintain accurate job records and report any follow-on works
- Participate in out-of-hours rota (paid additionally)
About You
- Qualified and experienced in joinery/multi-trade work (NVQ or equivalent preferred)
- Proven experience within a maintenance or responsive repairs environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong “right-first-time” approach with attention to quality and detail
- Health and Safety conscious with good awareness of safe working practices
- Holds a full manual UK driving licence (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 Joinery (essential)
- Must have own hand tools – power tools provided Interested?
