We are a small, boutique Guest House in the centre of Bath looking for an experienced general manager. We have 20 rooms and run the property to a very high standard of service, cleanliness and have exceptionally high Booking.com, Google and Tripadvisor ratings. We are looking to not only maintain these ratings but to improve upon them.
Our ideal candidate would have experience of being either a general manager or an assistant general manager of a similar sized, or larger, property. Be self- motivated, be able to inspire and communicate well with their team and above all else be able to offer and train others in exceptional guest service.
The role includes managing a small reception team and a 5-6 person housekeeping team. Supervising and serving breakfast is also a part of this role. As this is not a large property the general manager would be expected to be very involved in the day to day operations, not only in terms of office requirements but also playing a major role in guest relations.
A typical week would be around 40 hours over 5 days and the salary that we are offering is very competitive for this kind of role. It is a family run business and so the general manager’s input is very much welcomed. This is an opportunity to be involved in a business from the grass roots.
