Forestedene Health Care Services is recruiting compassionate, resilient and motivated professionals to join our children’s residential care team in Glenfield, Leicester. We provide a safe, stable and nurturing home environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We aim to help every young person feel safe, valued and supported while developing confidence, independence and the skills needed to achieve positive outcomes.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work directly with children and young people, providing consistent care, support and positive role modelling.
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
- Provide a safe, caring and nurturing home environment.
- Support young people with emotional, behavioural and practical needs.
- Encourage independence and the development of everyday life skills.
- Support education, appointments, activities and community involvement.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
- Support young people during challenging situations calmly and compassionately.
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and healthy relationships.
- Maintain accurate daily records and reports and follow safeguarding procedures.
- Work effectively as part of the wider care team and contribute to the home environment.
