Weekend Care Assistant — Shardlow, Castle Donington & surrounding villages
£12.75–£13.25 per hour, paid for your whole shift
Most care jobs pay you only for the time you're inside a client's home. The gaps, the driving, the waiting — unpaid. We don't do that.
With us, you clock on at 8am and you're paid until 5pm. Every hour. Plus 45p a mile between clients, and guaranteed hours so you know what's landing in your account each month.
And you're never sent on a fifteen-minute call.
Every visit we do is a minimum of one hour. Not because it's efficient — it isn't — but because you cannot do this job properly at a sprint. It means you finish the care plan and still have time to sit down with someone. Feed the birds. Sort out the cupboard that's been bothering them. Have the conversation that's the only one they'll have that day.
We're a small team — eight of us, looking after twenty-five people. You'll know every client by name, and we'll know yours.
The role
Personal care, medication support, meals, light housework, shopping and prescriptions — and companionship, which is the part that actually keeps people going.
