About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fine Jewellery Sales Consultant to join our growing showroom team in Hatton Garden.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for luxury jewellery and a proven background in fine jewellery sales. The successful candidate will confidently guide clients through every stage of their purchasing journey, offering expert advice on diamonds, precious gemstones, bespoke jewellery design and wedding jewellery while delivering an exceptional luxury experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation & Relationship Building
- Welcome every client professionally and create a warm, luxury showroom experience.
- Build long-lasting relationships through personalised consultations and exceptional customer service.
- Understand each customer's requirements and confidently recommend suitable jewellery and bespoke design options.
- Conduct showroom appointments as well as telephone and online consultations.
Fine Jewellery Expertise
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of:
- Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds
- Diamond grading (4Cs)
- Precious gemstones
- Precious metals
- Engagement rings
- Wedding rings
- Bespoke jewellery manufacturing
- Explain craftsmanship, settings and manufacturing processes with confidence.
- Assist customers in creating bespoke jewellery tailored to their individual requirements.
Sales Performance
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual and showroom sales targets.
- Maintain strong conversion rates while providing a consultative, pressure-free sales experience.
- Follow up enquiries promptly and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Generate repeat business through outstanding service and relationship management.
Customer Experience
- Deliver an exceptional luxury customer journey from first enquiry through to collection and aftercare.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Resolve customer concerns with empathy while maintaining the highest standards of service.
- Ensure every customer leaves with complete confidence in their purchase.
Brand Representation
- Represent Abelini with professionalism, integrity and enthusiasm.
- Maintain excellent showroom presentation and personal appearance.
- Promote the values and reputation of Abelini through every customer interaction.
Teamwork
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day showroom operations.
- Support visual merchandising and showroom presentation.
- Share product knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across the sales team.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 2 years' experience within fine jewellery sales (essential).
- Experience working with bespoke jewellery and made-to-order products.
- Excellent knowledge of natural and lab grown diamonds.
- Strong understanding of diamond grading and gemstone quality.
- Experience working with luxury clientele.
- Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent telephone and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships.
- Confidence using CRM systems and learning new software.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- A proactive, organised and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within Hatton Garden or another luxury jewellery retailer.
- Knowledge of jewellery manufacturing and CAD design processes.
- Experience dealing with bespoke commissions.
- Understanding of jewellery repairs, resizing and aftercare services.
