Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems and relay them efficiently to kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met and guest satisfaction is prioritized
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and service areas throughout your shift
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize guest enjoyment and restaurant revenue
- Monitor guest needs during their meal, respond quickly to requests, and handle any concerns with professionalism
- Follow food safety standards diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages, to ensure health regulations are met
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key!
- Knowledge of food safety practices and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential!
