Salary: £29,275 - £37,527 per annum (Pro rata), depending on qualifications & experience

In this busy and exciting role, you will deliver dynamic, high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of Counselling courses from Level 1 to Level 5 (HND).
You will play a pivotal role in guiding students along their educational journey, equipping them with essential therapeutic skills while fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Additionally, you will contribute to course co-ordination, quality assurance, and academic support to ensure exceptional student success.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching sessions across Counselling programmes (Levels 1–5).
- Provide constructive, timely feedback and set SMART targets to motivate and track student progress.
- Deliver academic tutorials, offering formative guidance to support learner success.
- Collaborate on the design, development, and continuous review of curriculum materials and schemes of work.
- Undertake course co-ordination and internal verification/moderation duties as required.
- Embed essential English, maths, and Information Learning Technology (ILT) into teaching activities.
- Assist in monitoring work experience placements and maintaining strong ties with local employers.
- Support student recruitment by participating in open evenings, interviews, and course marketing.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, student progress, and official assessment data.
- Uphold College standards, safeguarding policies, and Health and Safety procedures at all times.
What we're looking for:
You are a dedicated counselling professional with a passion for teaching and raising student aspirations. You hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification (or are willing to achieve one within 3 years), a minimum Level 3/4 qualification in Counselling, Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy, and an Assessor Award. With comprehensive industry experience, exceptional communication skills, and an innovative approach to learning, you thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
