Job Introduction
Tree Inspector
37 hours per week
Fixed Term - 12 month contract
Working within the Tree and Woodland Team, part of the County Council’s Countryside and Green Spaces Team, we are looking for a Tree Inspector to conduct systematic inspections of the County Council’s trees and woodlands and identifying works required.
In this role you will:

Conduct proactive inspections of County Council trees.

Identify works required to remove any issues compromising public safety.

Provide works requests for Council Tree Teams or outside arboricultural contractors.

Keep accurate records and provide reports and updates on progress.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Professional Tree Inspection Certificate (LANTRA or equivalent).

Certificate in Arboriculture L4 (or other equivalent Arboricultural or Horticultural qualification)
-
Good knowledge of tree identification, pest and diseases, tree biology, and tree hazard assessment.

Knowledge of industry standard arboricultural risk standards such as, Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA), Tree Hazard: Risk Evaluation and Treatment System (THREATS).

Valid UK Driving Licence

Experience of conducting inspections of trees and woodlands.
Experience of providing detailed records and reports.

Experience of providing instructions for arboricultural works.
Ability to manage own workload, working independently at sites across Northumberland.
