We are seeking a children's home manager to join our team in a 5-bed home in Ludlow Shropshire.
Our focus is on encouraging and motivating children and young people to develop essential life skills. We promote participation in a variety of leisure activities, educational pursuits, and social opportunities, all of which provide positive challenges within a secure and structured environment.
Role Overview
We are searching for a Registered Manager, or a Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, who can create a nurturing home for our children and foster positive, meaningful outcomes.
As the Manager, your responsibilities extend beyond caring for the children; you are also responsible for supporting and guiding the team of adults working within the home. It is vital that you inspire, communicate effectively, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a positive outlook when plans change, ensuring the team operates efficiently.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a role relevant to the residential care of children
- At least two years in a position supervising staff
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to obtain within two years)
- A record of achieving a GOOD or OUTSTANDING grade in recent Ofsted inspections
- Deputy Managers must have at least three years’ experience in the role and the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care, with readiness to train for the Level 5 Diploma
