MCS Roofing & Cladding Supplies is a well-established manufacturer and supplier of steel roofing and cladding products. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Sheet Metal Manufacturing Operative to join our production team.
This is a varied, hands-on role working across both our Rollforming and Flashings departments. The successful candidate will be involved in manufacturing roofing sheets, folded flashings and associated products while helping to maintain a safe, efficient and organised production environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Rollforming Department
- Operating rollforming machinery to manufacture box profile and corrugated roofing sheets.
- Producing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Carrying out quality checks on finished products.
- Maintaining machinery and work areas to a high standard.
- Assisting with routine machine maintenance where required.
Flashings Department
- Operating guillotines to cut colour-coated steel sheets.
- Operating folding machinery to manufacture flashings and bespoke folded products.
- Reading and working from production schedules and drawings.
- Measuring, cutting and folding materials accurately.
- Minimising material waste whilst maintaining product quality.
General Factory & Yard Duties
- Loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles.
- Assisting with the movement and storage of stock.
- Processing incoming goods and maintaining stock organisation.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Supporting colleagues across departments as workload demands.
- Completing daily equipment checks where required.
- Contributing ideas to improve efficiency and workflow throughout the factory.

- Experience working with sheet metal products.
- Experience operating guillotines, folding machines or rollforming equipment.
- Experience within the roofing, cladding or construction products industry.
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate, including forklift training where appropriate.
