Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their well-being. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
- Engage in meaningful communication to build trusting relationships with residents
- Support the organisation of activities and social events to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe environment for all
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely when required
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills, compassionate nature, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts that may involve evenings or weekends if needed
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
Pay: £12.71 per hour
