Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our dedicated team in Chelmsford Essex. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and installing domestic boilers and heating systems, ensuring our customers receive reliable and efficient service. Your expertise will contribute directly to our company's reputation for excellence in home heating solutions.
You will also be required to work on all domestic plumbing jobs, including bathroom installations, tap changes etc.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair domestic boilers and heating systems in residential properties.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining work performed and offering advice.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Assist with the installation of new heating systems as required.
- Support the team with general plumbing tasks when necessary.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role.
- Proven Plumbing Qualifications (e.g., City and Guilds).
- At least 3-5 years proven gas experience and fault finding experience.
- Strong knowledge of domestic boiler systems (gas).
- Relevant certifications in gas safety (e.g., ACS certification).
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment safely.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driving license.
- Bonus LPG and Oil tickets, not essential.
- Monday - Friday 08:15 - 17:15, Local work within 10-15 miles of Chelmsford, No London working.
- Salary dependant on experience.
- Trainee's and apprentices need not apply.
