Pegasus Staff Services are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Transport Planner in the Derby area to lead and develop innovative transportation solutions that enhance mobility, safety, and efficiency. Shift pattern will be on a weekly rota, Monday to Friday - 0700 to 1600 / 1000 to 1900
Salary will be between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum depending upon experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and development of transportation projects from conception through implementation, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments and construction experience to inform project design and execution strategies
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively while coordinating with stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and local authorities
- Oversee the integration of system design components ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure and future scalability
- Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate project progress and technical solutions clearly
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation planning
- Knowledge of transportation systems including roadway design, traffic flow analysis, and infrastructure development
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in civil engineering and transportation planning
