Situated in the heart of the City just off Mincing Lane, this striking bar and restaurant is a popular choice amongst the city crowd.
We’re looking for someone with a great eye for detail, a natural way with people and an interest in events and hospitality to join our team and support our Sales & Events Manager with the day-to-day running of sales enquiries, bookings and events.
This is a varied role, with a strong focus on administration, attention to detail and event planning, while also providing a high level of customer service.
It is important that you are confident in your communication and understand what great hospitality means. We want someone who takes the time to understand each client's needs, goals and expectations and helps make sure they feel looked after from their first enquiry through to the end of their event.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a wide variety of events — from large corporate events and celebrations to smaller private parties and to be part of creating experiences that people remember.
Working closely with the Sales & Events Manager, you will:
- Respond to incoming enquiries
- Assist with managing bookings and keeping our booking systems up to date
- Gather all the important details from clients and make sure nothing is missed
- Assist with planning and organising upcoming events
- Communicate event details clearly with the management and venue teams
- Help ensure everything is prepared for events to run smoothly
- Provide general administrative support to the Sales & Events Manager
- Assist with other sales, events and hospitality tasks as required
Who we are looking for:
Experience is helpful, but attitude and the willingness to learn are more important to us.
We are happy to train the right person, so this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in hospitality, sales and events.
You should be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating with customers
- Friendly, professional and welcoming
- Able to understand what clients need and help deliver the experience they are looking for
- Comfortable using Excel and learning new systems
- Able to manage several tasks at the same time and prioritise effectively
- Proactive, reliable and keen to learn
- A strong team player who enjoys working with people
- Passionate about hospitality and creating great experiences
Previous experience in hospitality, events, sales, customer service or administration would be beneficial. Experience with booking systems such as DesignMyNight or Collins is a plus, but not essential.
Hours & Contract: Full-time, on-site; Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
This is a temporary position until January, with the opportunity to continue with the business on a part-time basis after January, depending on the needs of the business and the right candidate.
