We have been exclusively retained by a respected housing organisation to appoint an experienced Project Support Officer on a fixed term contract, supporting a major People & OD systems implementation.
This is a key opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation at an important stage of transformation, with particular responsibility for supporting the recruitment element of a new HR system.
Reporting to the Project Lead, the successful candidate will provide high-quality, organised and proactive project support, helping ensure recruitment requirements, processes and system functionality are clearly understood and successfully implemented.
The Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity for an experienced in-house recruitment professional to play an important part in a significant HR systems project.
The organisation is moving from iTrent to People First, and this role will support the design, build, testing and implementation of the new system, with a strong focus on recruitment processes.
You will work closely with the wider project team and internal stakeholders to understand current recruitment processes, gather requirements, support testing, maintain project documentation and assist with training and user adoption.
The role will suit someone who combines strong knowledge of in-house recruitment with a practical, hands-on approach to project support. Experience of HR system implementation or working in a project environment would be particularly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
As Project Support Officer, you will:
- Support the mapping, review and improvement of end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Gather and document recruitment requirements across vacancy approval, advertising, candidate management, interviews, offers and onboarding.
- Provide day-to-day project support, including meetings, agendas, notes and action tracking.
- Maintain project plans, action logs, risk and issue logs and decision records.
- Support system testing, recording outcomes, tracking defects and helping coordinate resolution.
- Assist with testing schedules, materials and evidence collation.
- Support data checking, cleansing and validation activity.
- Prepare clear communications, guidance materials and project updates.
- Support training and adoption activity, including user guidance and feedback.
- Work collaboratively across the People & OD function and wider organisation to support successful delivery of the project.
About You
We are seeking someone with strong knowledge and experience of in-house recruitment processes, ideally gained within a complex organisation.
You will bring:
- Proven experience delivering or supporting in-house recruitment activity.
- A strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to analyse information, maintain accurate records and produce relevant management information.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to support across different areas of the project.
- Confidence working with data as well as people.
Experience of supporting an HR system implementation, system testing, project delivery, process mapping or change activity would be desirable.
You will be collaborative, organised and comfortable working in an evolving project environment where priorities can change and where a practical, “get stuck in” approach is valued.
