Looking for a three-day working week?
Forever England is looking for a practical, reliable and positive person to join our small warehouse team at our Templecombe headquarters.
This could be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being busy and active at work but doesn't necessarily want a traditional five-day working week.
The role combines warehouse work with driving and deliveries, so no two days are necessarily the same. One day you might be picking and packing customer orders, another unloading new stock or organising the warehouse, and another heading out in our company van delivering stock to one of our retail shops.
You'll work alongside our Warehouse Supervisor and the rest of our friendly team to make sure stock gets to the right place, at the right time.
What will you be doing?
Your role will include:
- Picking and packing customer and trade orders
- Preparing and dispatching goods
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Helping maintain accurate stock levels
- Unloading deliveries, trailers and shipping containers
- Keeping the warehouse organised, clean and safe
- Moving and organising pallets and stock
- Delivering stock to our Forever England shops using our company van
- Occasionally delivering larger items directly to customers
- Helping with the general day-to-day running of a busy warehouse
Driving is an important part of the job
You'll need to be a confident and responsible driver with a full UK driving licence, as regular deliveries to our shops form an important part of the role.
You'll be driving a company van, so you must also be able to meet our vehicle insurance requirements.
What are we looking for?
More than anything, we're looking for the right person.
Someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Practical and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team
- Physically capable of handling boxes and stock
- Organised and able to work methodically
- Comfortable using straightforward computer and stock systems
- Happy driving a van and making deliveries
- Friendly, positive and easy to work with
Previous warehouse experience would certainly be useful, but we're equally interested in somebody with the right attitude, reliability and practical ability.
A forklift licence would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. Forklift training can be provided for the right person.
The hours
This is a permanent 24-hour, three-day-a-week position.
Monday and Thursday will normally be fixed working days, as these are important days within our warehouse and delivery schedule.
There can be some flexibility around the third working day, which we can discuss with the successful applicant.

Due to our rural location, you'll need to be able to reliably commute to our Templecombe warehouse.
