Duties
- Lead daily operations within your designated nursery or preschool room, ensuring a nurturing and organized environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise and support a team of childcare assistants and practitioners, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, routines, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards to provide a secure setting for children.
- Manage administrative tasks such as record-keeping, planning documentation, and updating children's developmental profiles.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that celebrates diversity and encourages positive interactions among children and staff.
Skills
- Proven management experience leading early childhood or nursery teams with a focus on quality care delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership skills that motivate teams to excel in their roles while maintaining high standards of childcare.
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or nursery settings.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
- Ability to organize tasks efficiently while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driving license is advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities when necessary.
