Registered Care Home Manager
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per year, depending on experience PLUS Bonuses throughout the year.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to join our friendly team.
Our home provides short-term and long-term residential care for older adults, including people living with dementia. We are proud of the warm, welcoming environment we have created and firmly believe that the home belongs to our residents. About the role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that residents continue to receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care.
You will lead and support the care team, helping staff to feel confident, valued and motivated in their roles. We are looking for someone who enjoys being visible within the home, building strong relationships with residents, relatives, staff and external professionals.
This role would suit an experienced manager who is looking for a new challenge and would like the opportunity to make a genuine difference within a smaller, more personal care setting.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the care home.
- Maintaining high standards of care, safety and professional practice.
- Leading, supporting and motivating the staff team.
- Carrying out regular supervisions, appraisals and staff development.
- Maintaining effective quality assurance and auditing procedures.
- Ensuring the home meets all relevant CQC regulations and care standards.
- Assessing and managing both planned and short-notice referrals.
- Working closely with residents, relatives, social workers, healthcare professionals and other external agencies.
- Managing staffing, resources and budgets effectively.
- Ensuring each resident’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs are understood and supported.
- Promoting a positive culture where residents are treated with dignity, kindness and respect.
About you
We are looking for a motivated, approachable and experienced manager who can lead by example and inspire a team to provide the very best care.
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous management experience within an elderly residential care setting.
- Previous experience of CQC registration or working in a registered management role.
- A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, or be currently working towards it.
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, quality standards and residential care requirements.
- Experience of managing staff, budgets and care home operations.
- The ability to manage difficult or sensitive situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people and those living with dementia.
