Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team at a care home facility. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents, with a focus on providing quality care and enhancing their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize a variety of activities and events for residents, such as games, crafts, outings, and social gatherings
- Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the specific needs and interests of residents, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Encourage resident participation in activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure the smooth execution of activities and events
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and staff members to ensure a positive experience for all
- Assist in the evaluation of activity programs to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or nursing home setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute engaging activities for residents of varying abilities
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
