Job Objective
The Duty Manager & receptionist will need to be pro-active, to be responsible for the daily operations and management of the facilities, always providing the highest standards of customer care and safety, including staffing, maintenance, budget control and adherence to all relevant legislation. The Centre Manager will report directly to the Cluster Manager and, will be expected to assist in developing and delivering the business strategy aimed towards achieving success and growth of the facility.

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Pulse Fitness Carshalton, providing managerial, professional, and technical skills to operate the centre
Manage all staff under direct control and ensure that adequate staff are on duty. Prepare and implement shift rotas for all staff and arrange adequate staff for the provision of the service at the satellite facilities.
Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene and maintenance are always maintained
Maintain all inventory and stock control records for equipment, saleable goods etc. at all facilities and undertake stock and inventory checks as required, and ensure COSHH records are available and up to date
Responsible for always ensuring the health and safety of all staff and public
Check and ensure overall safety of building and equipment and all areas. Carry out or arrange for emergency repairs as necessary and take relevant action to maintain safety standards. Keep relevant logs to meet all health and safety regulations
Ensure that all areas of the centre, equipment, and associated facilities are being correctly used in compliance with the NOPs and submit daily control records.
Responsible for programme of inspection and training of mechanical and electrical equipment, to include reporting of faults, actual or potential.
Ensure there is adequate control and supervision of the public, including dealing with enquiries, complaints, accidents, incidents etc. as necessary.
Organise and supervise the evacuation of the centre in emergencies as required and ensure EAPs are kept up to date and all staff are trained accordingly.
Ensure secure systems for all areas of the centre including the preparation of normal operation procedures.
Maintain detailed records of usage, income and expenditure using the IT management and booking system eXerp.
Ensure all relevant legislation is adhered to
Ensure and provide as necessary the administrative service for the facilities, i.e. financial records, time sheets, sickness and absenteeism records, overtime records, stores, correspondence, insurance etc.
Play a leading and active role in lead generation and membership sales.
Prepare and submit monthly weekly, monthly quarterly and annual reports as required.
Responsible for the overall management of the facilities’ budgets and income /sales analysis on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Assist the Pulse Management in the production of monthly P & L reports
Carry out periodic fire drills to ensure that all employees are familiar with procedures and that firefighting equipment is serviced and maintained in a usable condition. You must maintain monthly records of drills, inspections, tests, and servicing
Responsible for the training of new employees, and retraining existing employees as required in the Health and Safety policy and any specific codes for swimming pool and fitness facilities. Maintain training records for all staff
To exercise all due care in respect of Health and Safety at Work and carry out the requirements of the Departmental Policy practices and procedures on Health and Safety, ensuring First Aid equipment and competent staff and procedures are followed.
Ensure that COSHH records are available and kept up to date for all materials and chemicals used in the centre. .
To undertake such other duties as appropriate to the grade and designation of the post as required by Pulse Management.

· To support the Front of House team with any sales and retention campaigns.
· To set up a member with TRAKK and offer support for the App
· To keep the membership finance reports UpToDate and support the facility in its debt recovery.

Person Specification
First Aid
- Previous experience in Team Leading
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
- Personal management and organization skills
- Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines

Pay: £12.97 per hour
