About The Role:
The Retrofit Coordinator is responsible for providing technical retrofit, compliance and quality assurance support across Synergize Ltd decarbonisation schemes. The role supports bidding, tender development, mobilisation and live project delivery by applying PAS 2030/2035/2038 knowledge, retrofit design understanding and practical site insight to help ensure schemes are planned and delivered correctly.
The role will review retrofit design details, ventilation strategies, installation records, photographs, certificates and supporting evidence to confirm that works are suitable for compliance review and lodgement preparation. Working closely with the Operations & Compliance Manager, Project Managers, Site Managers, Retrofit Assessors, Designers and subcontractors, the Retrofit Coordinator will identify technical queries, evidence gaps, non-conformances and installation deviations early so they can be resolved before they impact programme, quality or audit outcomes.
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically worked between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The role is based in Warrington and will require travel to project sites and client locations throughout the UK as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support bid and tender submissions by providing retrofit compliance guidance, technical input, and risk assessments
- Review retrofit designs, specifications, ventilation strategies, and evidence requirements during project mobilisation
- Carry out site quality assurance inspections to verify compliance with PAS 2030 standards, manufacturer requirements, and project specifications
- Review installation records, photographic evidence, certificates, commissioning documentation, and handover packs to ensure audit readiness
- Identify technical issues, evidence gaps, design deviations, and non-conformances, recommending practical corrective actions
- Collaborate with delivery teams and supply chain partners to resolve technical queries and maintain programme compliance
- Assist with internal, client, TrustMark, accreditation, and certification audits by preparing evidence packs and responding to audit requests
- Support the development and continual improvement of compliance processes, inspection checklists, evidence standards, and quality assurance systems
- Provide technical guidance on retrofit best practice, ventilation requirements, sequencing, and fabric-first principles
- Monitor project documentation to ensure traceability, quality, and compliance with funding and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
- Understanding of PAS 2030, PAS 2035, and retrofit compliance requirements
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, evidence records, and installation quality
- Knowledge of ventilation principles and fabric-first retrofit approaches
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances and compliance risks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital document management systems
- Experience within energy efficiency, retrofit, construction, or decarbonisation projects
- Retrofit-related qualifications or working towards accreditation
- Experience supporting audits, quality assurance processes, or compliance management
