The post is based within a CQC-rated Good, purpose-built 50-bed Residential & Dementia Care Home in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Care Home Manager with a proven track record of managing larger services and leading teams of 40+ staff. The Role
As Registered Care Home Manager, you will:
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with Fundamental Standards
- Lead and develop a stable, person-centred staff team, treating staff with the same dignity and respect as residents
- Manage a team of 40+ staff, providing leadership, direction, coaching and accountability
- Ensure strong systems for supervision, mentoring, training and staff support
- Promote a positive workplace culture where staff feel valued and empowered
- Monitor and improve performance across quality, occupancy, budgets and staffing
- Build trusted relationships with residents, families, staff and external professionals
- Drive continuous improvement whilst maintaining high standards of care and compliance
About You
You will be an experienced Registered Care Home Manager who can demonstrate:
- Previous management experience within a medium to large residential and/or dementia care home
- Experience managing teams of 40+ staff
- A successful track record of maintaining Good or Outstanding standards
- Strong leadership, people management and communication skills
- The ability to balance quality care, compliance and commercial performance
- A values-led approach to leadership, with respect and equality at the core of your management style
- Good knowledge of CQC regulations and Health & Social Care legislation
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care
- Previous Registered Manager experience within a residential or dementia care setting
- Experience achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC outcomes
- Knowledge of dementia care and older people's services
- Experience using electronic care planning systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
