About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS) to join our growing telecoms team. This is primarily an office-based position responsible for overseeing electrical compliance, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring that all electrical works are delivered to the highest standards across telecoms infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance with industry regulations, providing technical guidance to project teams, reviewing electrical designs and installations, and conducting periodic site visits to support project delivery and auditing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company's Electrical Qualified Supervisor, ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations and standards.
- Oversee the certification, inspection, and testing of electrical installations associated with telecoms infrastructure projects.
- Review electrical designs, method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers, project managers, and site teams.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with relevant regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct site audits and inspections to verify workmanship, safety, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, certification, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in developing and improving electrical processes, procedures, and best practices.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Current City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- Experience supervising electrical installations and certification processes.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and report-writing skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience within the telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of telecoms site installations including cabinets, power systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Experience working within a regulated or multi-site environment.
- Familiarity with distribution network operator (DNO) requirements and electrical connection processes.
