Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and personable Wedding Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of wedding planning and execution. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their special day is seamless, memorable, and tailored to their desires. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience within the hospitality or events industry. The Wedding Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating vendors, managing schedules, and delivering exceptional guest services to create unforgettable celebrations.
Duties
- Liaise with clients to understand their vision and preferences for the wedding day
- Coordinate with vendors such as florists, caterers, photographers, and entertainment providers
- Develop detailed event timelines and ensure all elements are executed according to plan
- Upsell additional services or upgrades to maximise client satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Manage all logistical arrangements including venue setup, decoration, and equipment hire
- Oversee the smooth running of the event on the day, ensuring all aspects adhere to schedule
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any issues promptly and professionally
- Assist with organising rehearsals and pre-wedding meetings
- Maintain organised records of contracts, payments, and correspondence related to each wedding
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld throughout the event
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel management, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Proven ability in event planning or coordination roles, preferably within weddings or similar celebrations
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
- Experience in upselling services or products to enhance client experience and business revenue
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage busy schedules efficiently
- Fundraising or guest services experience is a plus but not essential
