We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy Wills & Probate team in Worksop. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous legal secretarial experience who is highly organised, professional and confident dealing with clients and confidential information.
The Role
You will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Wills & Probate team, assisting with a range of matters including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration.
You will be responsible for helping to keep client matters organised, ensuring documents and correspondence are prepared accurately and providing a professional and compassionate service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Wills & Probate team
- Prepare and format legal documents, letters and correspondence
- Assist with Wills, Probate, LPA and estate administration matters
- Manage diaries, appointments and meetings
- Open, maintain and close client files accurately
- Liaise professionally with clients, beneficiaries and third parties
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Prepare documents for client meetings and appointments
- Carry out audio and copy typing
- Maintain accurate records using the case management system
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and emails
- Assist with billing and general administrative duties
- Monitor deadlines and ensure work is completed promptly
- Provide a professional, helpful and compassionate service to clients
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous Legal Secretary experience, preferably within Wills & Probate
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and client-focused approach
- Experience preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience using legal case management systems
- The ability to handle confidential information professionally
- The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
