Job Role:
As a Warehouse Operative at Vita Manufacture, you will play a vital role in supporting the production and distribution of our supplements. You will be responsible for handling raw materials and finished goods with care and precision, maintaining a well-organized and compliant warehouse environment. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our manufacturing process and ensure our high standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Handling: Receive, inspect, and store raw materials and packaging components in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Stock Management: Accurately pick, pack, and label materials and finished goods for production and dispatch, maintaining correct stock levels.
- Material Preparation: Prepare and issue raw materials to production teams in a timely and accurate manner.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date and accurate records, including delivery notes, stock sheets, and warehouse logs.
- Quality Compliance: Work closely with QA and QC teams to ensure materials meet all quality and safety specifications before use.
- Logistics Support: Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, verifying shipments against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other departments, including Production and Quality, to support operational efficiency.
- Problem Solving: Identify and report any inventory or operational issues to management and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment—preferably within the supplement, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industry—is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Education: GCSEs or equivalent qualifications required. Forklift certification and knowledge of GMP or HACCP principles are advantageous.
