Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children within a nurturing and safe environment. Duties
- · Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with nursery policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily routines.
- Support colleagues in organising the nursery environment to ensure it is safe, stimulating, and well-maintained.
- Assist with the planning of educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Uphold health and safety regulations, including hygiene protocols and safeguarding procedures.
- Understand the need for complete confidentiality.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Have previous nursery experience demonstrating the ability to deliver engaging activities tailored to various age groups.
- A minimum level 3 childcare qualification (e.g. NNEB; NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) or higher is required.
