Wayfair is looking for a Media and Marketing Operations Lead to help drive the next phase of growth for our EU marketing organization.
This is a high-impact role for a strong operator who combines analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and hands-on leadership. You will own the operational and analytical engine behind a significant portion of Wayfair’s upper-funnel media investment, with responsibility for planning, forecasting, reporting, measurement, agency management, and investment stewardship across channels including TV, VOD / online video, Audio, OOH, partnerships, and broader media activity.
You will play a central role in shaping the UK narrative around media investment—defining how channels perform (individually and collectively), determining their incrementality, and identifying opportunities to optimize for efficiency/ROI and future investment. You will partner closely with Finance, Brand, CRM, Promotions, and media agencies, and work side by side with the Head of Creative and Production Operations to ensure Wayfair’s media plans and creative delivery are tightly connected.
This role is ideal for someone who brings structure to complexity, can make sound decisions with incomplete information, and knows how to translate data, budgets, and measurement into practical action to deliver growth. It is also a strong fit for someone excited by building a more AI-enabled future for marketing operations, reporting, and planning.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and develop an analyst, creating a high-accountability, high-autonomy culture with clear priorities, strong coaching, and a high quality bar
Own media budget planning across key upper-funnel channels including TV, VOD / online video, Audio, OOH, partnerships, and selected media activity - with full ownership of indirect media / insights spend governance.
Partner with Finance on forecasting and planning processes, ensuring strong budget discipline, accurate planning, clear assumptions, and timely visibility into risks and trade-offs
Build new marketing performance dashboards and reporting, to help senior stakeholders understand media effectiveness, efficiency, reach, attribution, and areas of opportunity
Own investment tracking, performance reporting, and ROI / incrementality readouts for your channels, while helping build the broader UK strategy for total media investment and mix
Lead MMM, GeoMMM, attribution, and measurement inputs for your channels, and translate findings into planning processes, optimization opportunities, and clear investment recommendations
Own media agency relationships from an operational and commercial perspective, including ways of working, follow-through, reporting quality, and investment discipline
Act as the operational bridge between media planning and creative delivery, ensuring creative requirements for media channels are identified early, scoped clearly, and aligned with the Head of Creative and Production Operations
Strengthen cross-channel planning across Brand, CRM, Promotions, Finance, and other stakeholders so media decisions are better integrated and amplification opportunities are surfaced earlier
Improve the systems, tooling, and reporting infrastructure behind the team, including workflow platforms such as Monday.com / Jira and more automated reporting and planning solutions
Champion AI-enabled automation across reporting, forecasting, insight generation, and operational efficiency
Anticipate second-order impacts, identify risks early, and keep the team and stakeholder group aligned through fast-moving priorities and market shifts
Champion transformative business practice - building and landing new processes / tools across teams
What You’ll Need:
Proven people management experience, including coaching and developing junior analytical or operational talent, while maintaining hands-on excellence.
Strong experience in media operations, marketing operations, investment planning, media strategy support, or a similar analytical marketing leadership role.
Experience owning or heavily influencing budgets, forecasting, reporting, and investment decision-making across paid media or upper-funnel channels.
Strong analytical skills and commercial judgment, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations and practical action.
Experience with MMM, incrementality, attribution, media measurement, or comparable channel evaluation frameworks.
Experience managing agency relationships and holding partners to a high bar on reporting, execution, and commercial rigor.
Strong understanding of UK and Ireland media channels.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent change, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.
A calm, steady leadership style, with the ability to bring structure to complexity and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
Ideally, a mix of in-house / brand-side and agency experience.
Experience in retail, ecommerce, home, or other high-volume consumer categories is a plus.
Experience building AI-enabled workflows for reporting, planning, insight generation, or operational efficiency is a plus.
Experience contributing to broader media narrative-setting or investment storytelling for senior leadership is a plus.
Experience operating in a high-growth or highly iterative marketing environment is a plus.
What success looks like in this role:
- Strong media investment planning across key upper-funnel channels
- Tight reporting and performance visibility for both channel-level and aggregate media investment
- A clear and trusted ROI and incrementality framework for media decisions
- Strong forecasting and budget control in partnership with Finance
- Integration between media planning and creative delivery
- A scalable operating rhythm as Wayfair continues to grow and evolve
