Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive part-time Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team. In this paid role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children in our preschool. Your leadership, management skills, and experience working with young children will help foster their growth and curiosity every day.
This is a term time only position.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
8.15 am to 3.15pm
Pay is pro-rata/equated (pay thst is earned during the school term is then distributed each month in twelve equal monthly instalments)
We follow a safer recruitment process, all successful candidates will be required to submitt two references and undergo a DBS Check prior to employment. A minimum of two references will he required. There will be a formal interview. Short listed candidates will then be invited for a working interview lasting approximately one hour.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote early childhood development in line with best practices
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through attentive care and guidance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children and staff
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare
- Supervise daily routines such as snack times, outdoor play, and rest periods with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Lead by example to promote positive behavior and inclusive play among children
- Keep accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns
Requirements
- One years proven experience of working with children in childcare settings or nurseries.
- Knowledge of the EYFS, early childhood education principles and child development stage
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact clearly with colleagues, parents, and children
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy preschool environment
- Valid level 3 early years qualification gained in the UK
- A paediatric first aid certificate if qualified after 30th June 2016
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
