Candor Vets is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic and supportive team within a well-established practice in Cornwall. This permanent full-time position offers a chance to contribute to a practice renowned for providing outstanding care for pets and farm species for over 65 years across its three small animal branches, all equipped with operating facilities.
The Role
The practice is seeking a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to work a 4.5-day week. They are open to flexible working options and are happy to discuss arrangements that suit the successful candidate. Daytime hours are 08:30-17:30, including a one-hour lunch break, ensuring a good work-life balance. Participation in a 1:6 Saturday morning rota is required, which will increase to 1:7, with additional time off in lieu provided. There is no emergency on-call, but in-patient care is retained in-house with a dedicated night nurse and an on-call vet for in-patients. While working across all branches is expected, this can be flexible to suit your preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality veterinary care to small animal patients.
- Working up medical and surgical cases using a range of diagnostic equipment.
