Job Title: Chef
Location: South Liverpool – Penny Lane
Pay: £14.00+ per hour
Hours: 25–45 hours per week (to be negotiated), Monday to Saturday
Chef – Small Plates & Wine Concept
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Chef to join our brand-new independent lifestyle store in the heart of South Liverpool, located on the world-famous Penny Lane.
Our concept blends retail, lifestyle, and food in a relaxed, design-led space — with a carefully curated food offering centred around small plates designed to accompany wine. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and influence a fresh and evolving menu from the very beginning.
The Role
As our Chef, you will:
- Assist in the creation and delivery of a small, high-quality menu of small plates
- Design and produce a rotating selection of weekly specials
- Develop dishes specifically crafted to complement wine
- Work confidently with fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Maintain excellent presentation and consistency
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and environmental health standards
- Help maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fresh food environment
- Passion for food, creativity, and flavour pairing (especially with wine)
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and environmental health regulations
- Ability to manage prep, service, and stock effectively
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic. A can-do attitude is essential.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
