JH Contracts Ltd delivers high-quality remedial, disrepair, refurbishment and maintenance works for major housebuilders, housing associations, retail companies and commercial clients across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Electrician / Multi-Skilled Trade Operative to join our expanding team.
This is a customer-facing role where professionalism, communication and attention to detail are essential. Much of our work is carried out within occupied properties, so candidates must be respectful, reliable and capable of producing work to a high standard.
Duties Include
- Domestic electrical fault finding and repairs
- Consumer unit replacements
- First and second fix electrical installations
- Testing and inspection works
- EICRs and certification
- Installation of lighting, sockets, switches and extractor fans
- Smoke and heat alarm installations
- Kitchen and bathroom electrical alterations
- Reactive maintenance and planned works
- Carrying out minor multi-trade works where required, including basic carpentry, patch plastering, decorating, plumbing and making good following electrical works
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Completing digital job sheets, photographs and reports
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (preferred but not essential)
- ECS Gold Card (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent fault-finding ability
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
