Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, within a hotel environment. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors, ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
- Clean bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaning products.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all areas of responsibility.
