EXPERIENCED Chef required for busy city centre cafe. We are looking to expand our kitchen team with can do people.
**Location:** Cafe Dolce, Market Street, Lancaster
**Hours:** Approximately 30/40 hours per week, daytime shifts
**Shifts:** 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 to 5 days per week (including weekends)
**Pay Rate:** To be discussed based on experience
Are you passionate about food and thriving in a busy kitchen environment? We are seeking a reliable and motivated full time Chef /Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team!
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of our chefs.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
- Keep the kitchen spotless, ensuring all areas are organized and tidy.
- Manage weekly inventory orders to ensure we are well-stocked with essential ingredients.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Take control of the kitchen and work independently if required during shifts.
**Requirements:**
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices is essential.
- Must be a team player who works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take charge of the kitchen and work alone when necessary.
- Availability to work weekends is a must.
- A strong work ethic and dedication to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.
