We are looking for an experienced highly professional, self motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the Food & Beverage Team at our clients fantastic botique hotel in the glorious East Sussex countryside!
This is a full time position, 5 days a week, including weekends. The salary for the position is £32,000 per year, and any additional hours worked above your contracted hours will be paid, plus an equal share of the 12.5% service charge.
You will be expected to be hands-on, leading from the front whilst motivating and ensuring the welfare of the team. Likewise ensuring the highest standards of guest relations and presentation, whilst achieving department objectives and financial requirements.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Support food preparation and cooking processes to ensure menu items meet quality standards and safety regulations.
- Supervise team members in serving guests, maintaining a friendly atmosphere and prompt service.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed consistently across all kitchen and dining areas.
- Help manage inventory levels, monitor food production, and coordinate with suppliers when necessary.
- Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety within the restaurant environment.
- Contribute to training new staff members in food handling, service techniques, and hospitality best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising or team management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes.
- Previous experience in restaurant service, hotel environments, or barista roles is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests from various backgrounds.
- A passion for hospitality, culinary arts, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
