Southfields Group Practice Wandsworth is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to undertake the role of Practice Nurse who can demonstrate a strong range of abilities around all primary care nursing activities. Excellent interpersonal skills and good IT skills. Experience of EMIS system is desirable.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, performing cervical smears, delivering essential vaccinations and assisting with chronic illness management, working collaboratively within the nursing team and wider clinical teams. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care within a busy, professional, yet friendly environment. The role is part time over 2-3 days, flexibility around working days to suit the right candidate'
Responsibilities
- Delivering high standards of patient care across a range of medical conditions and treatments.
- Assisting with health assessments, vaccinations, wound care, and chronic disease management programmes.
- Supporting patients with health education and lifestyle advice tailored to their individual needs.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure effective service delivery.
- Managing appointment schedules and prioritising patient needs efficiently.
- Ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed within the practice environment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to support accurate assessments and treatments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to support diverse patient needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
