Restaurant Floor Supervisor – Kerala Restaurant, Malton
OverviewKerala Restaurant, Malton is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Floor Supervisor to join our team. You will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day front-of-house operations, supporting the restaurant team and ensuring our guests receive friendly, efficient and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations and ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Lead, support and motivate waiting and front-of-house staff during shifts.
- Allocate duties, coordinate table service and help manage staff schedules.
- Welcome guests, assist with reservations and respond professionally to customer enquiries.
- Handle customer concerns promptly and help maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and timely food service.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety.
- Monitor presentation, service standards and overall restaurant readiness.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including relevant shift checks and handovers.
- Support the Restaurant Manager with staff training and day-to-day operational requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality or similar customer-facing environment.
- Supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confident in leading and motivating a team in a busy restaurant environment.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety standards.
- Ability to organise workloads, prioritise tasks and remain calm during busy service periods.
- Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with bookings, functions or restaurant till/EPOS systems would be an advantage.

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour
