Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy team. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Supporting the kitchen team with organisational duties such as restocking supplies and maintaining storage areas
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces and floors to promote a safe working environment
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Helping with general cleaning duties around the kitchen and service areas to ensure a tidy workspace
- Supporting serving staff during busy periods when required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
