Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support residents in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their comfort and dignity
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment
- Administer medication as prescribed, following strict protocols and documentation procedures
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver cohesive care
- Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a secure environment for all
Skills
- Driving licence and experience with transporting clients safely is desirable
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of developing and following personalised care plans
- Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds
