Job Overview
We are seeking a multi skilled Service Engineer with a door entry bias to join our team, responsible for maintaining various systems across domestic, commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in system maintenance, fault finding and be up-to-date with current regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast paced growing company with many opportunities for progression and training.
This job will be covering a good proportion of the South so travelling will be essential, however, work is always where possible, grouped by location each day.
Sites vary in size and client base from social housing, Care Homes through to large industrial units and schools.
Duties
- Have the knowledge and ability to maintain systems to a high standard across multiple disciplines. The door entry bias is the heaviest weight of all the disciplines.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Have a broad understanding of fire and security systems.
- Perform site inspections to verify system integrity, functionality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Report back to the office daily where required with updates and reports.
Skills
- Strong expertise in system maintenance for door entry systems.
- Proficiency in general IT software for job reporting, emails etc.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to fire safety systems and their components.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and small repair tasks.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation accurately.
- Electrical experience related to wiring, circuit design, and control systems within fire protection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
