About our community-owned business:
Câr-y-Môr is a Community Benefit Society founded six years ago and equally owned by its 700 members. We’re a unique Welsh sea farming and live seafood business, dependent on tides and the weather - making Câr-y-Môr a 7-day a week business, including some work in the early mornings and evenings. Our partners work on a fair rota basis, ensuring that both the business operates efficiently 7 days a week, and their home life is valued.
As our newest working partner, you’ll be joining Câr-y-Môr at an exciting time — as we move into our brand-new Sied-y-Môr facility over the coming months. We’re privileged to have this wonderful facility, which will allow Câr-y-Môr to grow, providing long-term fulfilling jobs for our working partners.
About the Supply and Dispatch Lead Partner role:
This role is central to our operations. You'll manage sourcing from our
network of local fishermen, gatherers and suppliers; coordinate scheduling and dispatch; and ensure every order meets the highest standards of quality and food safety. If you can see yourself developing a passion for supplying healthy and natural Welsh seafood, and you’d love to be a part of a close-knit and committed team that dares to dream they can bring real benefits to our coastal community - then we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Supply & Dispatch

- Minimise stress on the shellfish within these recirc systems.
- Ensure food storage meets hygiene standards and safety regulations.
Fellow Partners & Operations
- For the foreseeable future our business is in the set-up stage, requiring all partners to cover each other and support each other when needed, always highlighting and learning from mistakes.
- All partners need to be inspirational radiators - in an innovative, small business we rely on all members of the team to muck in and support one another.
- Keep improving systems in our new facilities.
- Keep production areas clean, organised and compliant.
- Help train and supervise your fellow partners with your areas of responsibility e.g. collections, deliveries, handling live shellfish.
- Support other partners with their responsibilities when needed.
What We're Looking For

- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with all partners and suppliers.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Leadership ability — confident taking charge when needed.
- Basic IT literacy.
Who You Are
- Someone who appreciates this is a 7 day a week business and therefore needs the working partners to be fully committed to cover the earlies, lates and weekends with well organised rotas.
- Organised, with a strong eye for detail and quality.
- Excellent communication skills, able to problem solve well whilst under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable — comfortable handling unexpected changes like varying catches or staff shortages.
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
- A committed team player who supports fellow partners, especially when they are under pressure.
What We Offer
- Work directly with fishermen, gatherers, and sea farmers to understand seasonality and their craft.
- Be part of setting up our new Sied-y-Môr operation facility from the ground up.
- Comprehensive on-the-job training tailored to your role.
- Hands-on learning about managing water quality in recirc systems, sea farming, harvesting and handling live shellfish, fish and seaweed.
- Become an ambassador for Welsh seafood and seaweed, supporting our partners with responsibility for sales, funding and education.
