Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter with flexible hours to join our busy events team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation that meets high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
Duties
- Wash and clean all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors and storage areas.
- Organise and store clean items appropriately for easy access by kitchen staff
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Help with stock rotation and inventory checks as required.
- Support the overall cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment to meet health and safety standards.
- Support with any event prep.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels or catering establishments is preferred.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Good organisational skills with attention to hygiene standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks within the kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
