Job Title: Temporary Administrator – O&M Manuals
Location: Wickford, Essex (Office-based, 5 days per week)
Contract: Temporary – 6 Weeks
Pay: £16.00–£18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
The Role
We are looking for a Temporary Administrator to join our team in Wickford for a 6-week assignment. This is an office-based role supporting an electrical testing and maintenance contract, with the primary responsibility of creating, compiling, and issuing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
This role would suit someone with previous experience working with O&M manuals, or someone who has worked within the construction, M&E, or electrical industry and understands what O&M manuals are and how they are put together. We are not looking for someone with years of experience, but applicants must have enough knowledge to be able to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, compile and format Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Gather and organise documentation from engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Check manuals for accuracy and completeness before issue.
- Send completed O&M manuals to clients in line with project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate document records and filing systems.
- Provide general administrative support to the project team as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience creating or working with O&M manuals is essential, or a good understanding of what they are and their purpose.
- Strong administrative and document management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Able to work independently and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
- Experience within the electrical, M&E, facilities management or construction sector would be advantageous.
Location & Travel
This is a fully office-based position in Wickford, Monday to Friday.
Applicants must be able to drive and have access to their own transport, as the office is not located near bus or train links. We will only consider non-drivers if they live very locally and can easily commute to the office.
