Private Care Team Leader – Private Family
North London (N5) | £50,000–£55,000 | Full-time, 45 hours
A private family in North London is looking for an experienced Care Team Leader to lead a dedicated team of 7–8 Support Workers providing 1:1 care to an engaging 18-year-old young man with a learning disability and complex medical needs.
This is not a traditional care home role. You will be working within a private family setting, combining hands-on support with leadership and coordination of an established care team.
The Role
- Lead and support a team of 7–8 Support Workers
- Provide high-quality, person-centred, hands-on care
- Coordinate rotas, documentation and day-to-day operations
- Work closely with the family and healthcare professionals
- Support personal care, medical needs and independence
- Create a positive, engaging and well-organised environment
About You
You will be warm, confident, proactive and genuinely passionate about care, with:
- 4+ years' experience supporting people with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge
- Previous Team Leader/management experience
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- A calm, professional but fun and engaging personality
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends, split shifts and occasional waking nights
Package
£50,000–£55,000 per year, ongoing training and development, paid sick leave after probation and a stable, long-term position.
The family also travels, and you may occasionally accompany them, with travel, accommodation and meals fully covered.
