The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated JetVac Recycler Driver/Operator to join our growing team based in Andover and Poole.
You will operate a specialist recycling combination jetting and vacuum tanker unit to carry out drainage maintenance, sewer cleaning, blockage clearance, tank cleans and waste removal across a variety of customer sites.
You will be working on a diverse range of sites, including water utility networks and sites, highways, commercial premises, industrial facilities, construction sites, and public infrastructure, delivering both planned maintenance and emergency response services.
A key part of the role will involve working alongside various departments and our newly established CCTV crawler survey teams, preparing drainage systems for inspection, supporting survey operations, and helping to deliver accurate condition assessments for our wide range of clients.
Working as part of a professional drainage team, you will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards expected by Rescue Rod and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a JetVac Recycler vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Be responsible for high standards of maintenance and cleanliness of lorry, recycler unit, tools and equipment.
- Consistently maintain high standard of professionalism to uphold our exemplary company image.
- Carry out high-pressure high water flow jetting to clean and/or clear blocked drains, sewers, gullies, culverts, and a multitude of other drainage / storage assets.
- Operate deep suction vacuum equipment to remove silt, debris, sludge, and many solid waste materials.
- Work across a variety of environments, including water utility networks and sites, utility infrastructure, highways, commercial and industrial sites, and domestic properties.
- Work closely alongside our CCTV crawler survey teams, carrying out pre-cleaning of drainage systems to enable accurate CCTV inspections and supporting survey operations on site.
- Utilise the recycler system to maximise water reuse, improving efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and emergency call-outs.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, company procedures, client specifications, and water industry standards.
- Complete electronic job reports, vehicle checks, and waste transfer documentation accurately.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers, clients, and members of the public.
- Assist other drainage engineers and operational teams as required.
- Participate in an out-of-hours works and potentially an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota where applicable.
Skills / Qualifications (Some desired and not essential)
- HGV Class 2 (Minimum)
- WJA High Pressure Jetting
- Medium Risk Confined Space Entry
- NRSWA Sign, Lighting and Guarding Unit 2
- Sewerage networks and assets knowledge and/or experience
- CCTV surveying knowledge and or experience
Pay: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
