We are looking for caring, reliable and professional Domiciliary Care Assistants to join a home care team supporting people in their own homes across Norwich and the surrounding area.
This is a community-based role where you will support individuals to remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes while providing person-centred care based on their individual needs.
The Role
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide practical and personal support to people in their own homes. You will work in line with individual care plans, company procedures and safeguarding requirements.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
- Assisting with mobility and transfers where required
- Supporting with meals and meal preparation
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting with medication where trained and authorised
- Completing care records accurately
- Reporting any changes in an individual's needs or wellbeing
- Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Working professionally and respectfully with individuals, families and colleagues
About You
We are particularly interested in applicants who have previous domiciliary or home care experience.
You should be:

- Comfortable working independently in the community

- Committed to providing person-centred care
- Willing to complete required training and follow care procedures
Previous care experience is preferred, and full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Ability to travel between service users' homes across Norwich and the surrounding area
Pay and Working Pattern
- £26,000 per year
- Annualised hours contract
- Minimum contracted care hours apply
- Additional hours paid at £12.81 per hour
- Mileage paid at 25p per mile
- 7 days worked within each 14-day period
- Structured rota: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday / Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Long working days in line with the agreed rota
