We have a variety of hours for support worker roles at Barden House, which includes full and part time hours
There is also an opportunity to do sleep in shifts only this is to support an established waking watch team
We are a small residential home based in Morecambe, people who live at Barden house have complex, and enduring mental health needs, each person requires a different level of support and their care is given from a dedicated team covering 24 hour residential hours.
We encourage people to live life as independently as they are able, therefore we need staff who are creative thinkers, with a positive personality and good communicators, to explore interests and experiences, both in at home and in the community
You will be expected to put the person at the centre of their care in all aspects of their lives
The successful candidate will work with the existing staff team, and will be expected to contribute to and support the day to day operational functioning of the home
You will need to work creatively within the team, to meet the demands & needs of people with a flexible approach to your work within the home and in the community
We would prefer you to have a minimum of one year experience , however, a full induction, support and training will be given.
Rotas are planned in advance so you are able to plan your own lives.
There will be an opportunity for additional hours when the need arises to help cover annual leave etc

The post holders would work without direct supervision on completion of his/her initial induction program.
